Greater Lizardfish (Saurida tumbil), a deep‐water fish distributed in the Persian Gulf and Oman sea according to the species fact sheets in Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) home page. This fish is of low value because of its small size, high moisture content. They are caught in large quantities by the shrimp trawlers and are low priced compared to other commercial varieties.
